Monday, August 11
Approximately 12:00 noon
The doorbell rings.
A pleasant-looking young man.
"Did you find anything this morning?"
"Like an orange colored capsule from a weather balloon we launched from Orange County this morning. [That's about 50 miles away, as the weather balloon flies, in New York State.] The balloon must have popped. Our last signal from the GPS right here." [Points down to where he is standing on my front door step.]
"Um. No. But I've been inside all day. Bad allergies."
Looked in the backyard. Gazed up to the roof. Now he and a colleague are roaming the neighborhood.
It's about 12 x 12 inches. I have a phone number if you come across it.
